NCLL CELEBRATES MICHIGAN STATE PARK ANNIVERSARY

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning is celebrating the 90th anniversary of Michigan State Parks with a van-escorted tour of two Upper Peninsula parks: Fayette State Park and Kitch-iti-kipi, or the Big Spring.
There will also be a guided tour of the Mackinaw Trail Winery in Manistique, where participants will have the chance to view the wine-making process and sample the product. Lunch will be Dutch treat at the Upper Crust Café and Deli at Traders Point in Manistique.
The van will make stops at the Berry Events Center at 7:30 a.m. and Jack’s IGA in Harvey at 7:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23, to pick up interested parties.
There is a $30 charge for NCLL members and a $35 charge for non-members. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 18. To register, contact Jim Matteson at 228-4165.
