GENDER IMPACT ON PERCEPTION DISCUSSED

            A presentation titled “Sexual Attitudes and Perception of Gendered Sexual Roles from the Perspective of Urban South American Women” will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, Sept. 18, in Northern Michigan University’s Gries Hall, room 167.

            Presenter Duduzile Phindile Mashinini will explore the harbored and perceived sexual attitudes in two groups of South African women and their experience with gender roles in sexual relationships. This research examined the role of gender with regard to female HIV/AIDS vulnerability in a population of South African women who are not in high risk groups.

            The presentation is part of the colloquium series sponsored by NMU’s psychology department.
