ERIC LEMARQUE SHARES SURVIVAL STORY AT NMU
Friday 23, 2009
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Eric LeMarque, the former Northern Michigan University, professional and Olympic hockey player and expert snowboarder, will give a presentation at NMU on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
In “Crystal Clear: An Evening with Eric LeMarque,” he will talk about his eight-day survival in subfreezing temperatures atop the 12,000-foot Mammoth Mountain in California. His story prompted stunned National Black Hawk chopper rescuers to give him the nickname “The Miracle Man.” His survival is that of adversity, change, ingenuity, perseverance, spiritual restoration and ultimate triumph.
The event begins at 7:30 in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center. Tickets are available at the door free for NMU students and $2 for non-students. Platform Personalities is sponsoring the presentation.
