MARQUETTE, Mich.—The DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University will offer a free family day from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7.

            The event will include art activities designed for children ages six and up. Children must be accompanied by a parent. Family day also gives children and parents a chance to be inspired by the museum’s permanent collection of art, which includes more than 1,000 pieces. The permanent collection is an eclectic group of Native American baskets, comic books and Japanese prints, along with paintings and sculptures by local artists.
