MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees this afternoon approved the new three-year contract ratified by the university’s largest faculty union. On Wednesday, the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) union, representing nearly 300 members, voted 179-55 in favor of the agreement. The contract required board approval to be finalized and was the only item on today’s special meeting agenda.
