NMU STUDENTS HOLD FUNDRAISER FOR ST. JUDE

Thursday 5, 2009
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University students are coordinating the local Up ‘Til Dawn letter-writing campaign, which raises funds for pediatric cancer research at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The event will be held from 6-11:30 P.M. Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the Great Lakes Rooms of the University Center. It will include music and food.

Up ‘Til Dawn is the main fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. According to organizers, St. Jude annually treats children from every state in the country and children from 80 countries around the world. The hospital does not charge patients for the treatment they receive, which is why it relies heavily on fundraisers, particularly Up ‘Til Dawn. Teams can be registered in advance at www.stjudes.org/myuptildawn. For more information, email cgrigas@nmu.edu.
