MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Michigan University Regional Police Academy will host an orientation meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1, in room 132 of the Jacobetti Center. The same session will be repeated at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2.

            The purpose of this meeting is to distribute the Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards (MCOLES) application packet, provide an overview of the timeline of the specific materials that need to be turned in, discuss financial aid and answer any questions. The next academy will run May 2 through Aug. 18.
