Friday 29, 2010
MARQUETTE, Mich.—In conjunction with the “Mostly Michigan” photography exhibition at Northern Michigan University’s DeVos Art Museum, Marquette-based photographer Jack Deo will give a free public lecture about his experiences collecting local historical photography. The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, in room 165 of the Art and Design Building.

Deo founded Superior View Gallery in Marquette with the acquisition of the original negatives from Childs Art Gallery. Since then, he has acquired dozens of negatives archives and the archive now contains more than 100,000 images.
