'CATCH ME IF YOU CAN' SUBJECT SPEAKS AT NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich—Frank Abagnale, the man whose real-life exploits inspired both the book and motion picture Catch Me if You Can, will give a presentation at Northern Michigan University. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, in the University Center Great Lakes rooms.
Abagnale is now one of the world’s most respected authorities on forgery, embezzlement and secure documents. For 30 years he has worked with hundreds of financial institutions, corporations and government agencies. He’s best known for his novel that was later adapted into the film, about his life as a famous confidence man. Between the ages of 16 and 21, he successfully posed as an airline pilot, an attorney, a college professor and a pediatrician, in addition to cashing $2.5 million in fraudulent checks.
Admission is free for NMU students with an ID and $2 for non-students. The event is sponsored by Platform Personalities.
