MARQUETTE, Mich.— Gary Olson, director of Michigan’s nonpartisan Senate Fiscal Agency, will share his perspective on the state economy during a presentation at Northern Michigan University. His talk is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, in Reynolds Recital Hall. The public is invited free of charge.

            The Senate Fiscal Agency provides the Michigan Senate with “sound and unbiased assistance” in two principal ways: providing staff support to the Senate Appropriations Committee and assisting all Senate members on state budget-related issues; and providing economic and budgetary analysis of all proposed legislation being considered by the Senate.
