SECOND ANNUAL PEOPLE'S LAW SCHOOL AT NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.—An eight-week program analyzing Michigan’s legal system and outlining the rights and responsibilities of citizens will be held this fall at Northern Michigan University.

The People’s Law School runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 22 through Nov. 10, in 105 Jamrich Hall. Upper Peninsula attorneys will give presentations on such topics as elder law, family law, real estate, landlord/tenant, small claims, probate and wills. Individuals are welcome to attend any or all sessions for a fee of $25 to cover materials. Scholarships are available.

The People’s Law School is sponsored by the NMU department of political science and public administration, the NMU Student Law Forum, Pence and Numinen, and the Michigan Association for Justice. Attorney Steven Pence and NMU Professor Steven Nelson are coordinating the program.
