NCLL OFFERS PROGRAM ON THE HOMELESS

 MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a free class on the homeless in the Marquette area called “Room at the Inn.” The program will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, at First Presbyterian Church. 

 

Presenters are Helen McCormick, founder of the shelter program, and social worker Robin Roy. They will discuss the 13 churches that act as Marquette’s homeless shelter.  McCormick and Roy will reflect on the homeless scene before “Room at the Inn” existed, how the project came about and the overall structure and guidelines for the participating homeless.
