MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Michigan University jazz band will present its kick-off concert of the year at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 in Reynolds Recital Hall. The public is invited to this free event.

            The band will play a mixture of big band favorites, including songs by Benny Carter, Sammy Mestico, Mongo Santa Maria and NMU professor Mark Flaherty. This performance will also feature the Wild Scats jazz singers.
