MARQUETTE, Mich.—Creative works by two recent graduates of Northern Michigan University’s School of Art and Design are featured in the sixth annual “Arts in the House” showcase.

Stephanie Bajema, an illustration major from Traverse City, Mich., submitted the digital painting “Emma and the Turtle.” Rachel Caauwe, an illustration major from White Cloud, Mich., submitted “Snail Anatomy,” an anatomical piece illustrated with pencil, ink and digital coloring.

“Arts in the House” is a partnership between the President’s Council, State Universities of Michigan and the Michigan House of Representatives. It showcases the creativity of state college students to promote the value of art in everyday life.
