VIEW-MASTER HISTORY CLASS OFFERED

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a class on the history of View-Masters at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at the First United Methodist Church in Marquette.
Collector Sandy Balmer will present a short history of View-Master, from a chance encounter of a photographer and piano repairman in 1939 to its recent purchase by the Fisher-Price Company. There will be an array of View-Master slides to view, ranging from advertisements for trucks, plywood and Turkey Store dinner to military training slides from WWII.
This class costs $4 for NCLL members and $7 non-members. Register by Tuesday, Nov. 2, by calling Don Balmer at 249-1273.
