NMU HOLDS PASSPORT DAY

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will host a Passport Day from

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, in the lower level of the Learning Resources Center. Individuals can obtain either a passport book, which permits travel to anywhere in the world, or a passport card for travel to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

            Participants should fill out the online application at www.travel.state.gov in advance, but not sign it before Passport Day. They should also bring a valid photo ID (and a second form of ID if no Michigan license is available), proof of citizenship/certified birth certificate with raised seal and two or three separate checks or money orders. Payments must be made to the U.S. Department of State for $110, Peter White Public Library for $25 and Marquette Wallpaper and Paint for $10 for a passport photo, if needed.
