'A CHRISTMAS CAROL' RETURNS TO NMU

Tuesday 30, 2010
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will present a staged reading of

A Christmas Carol Wednesday, Dec. 15, through Sunday, Dec. 19, in the James A. Panowski Black Box Theatre in the McClintock Building. The event begins at 7:30 p.m., with 1 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

For several years, “A Christmas Carol” or variation of the play was an annual production at Forest Roberts Theatre. There are plans to resurrect the practice next season and this year’s staged reading is a way to ease into the return of the show. The cast is composed of members of the First Nighters Club advisory board and the script is an adaptation by Ansley Valentine, NMU director of theater. Panowski will direct the reading.

Tickets are $5—cash or check only—and will be available at the door. For more information, call 227-2553.
