PINOCCHIO GOES OPERA AT NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.—There will be a free operatic performance of “Pinocchio” at
7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7 and Friday, April 8 in Reynolds Recital Hall.
Presented by the Northern Michigan University Opera Theater Workshop, this one-act adaption of the story of Pinocchio will entertain both children and adults, and features music taken from famous operas by Rossini, Donizetti, Verdi, Mozart and Offenbach. The performance will be preceded by a short program of some of the original arias on which the opera is based.
