NMU PRESENTS SHAKESPEARE PARODY
Wednesday 25, 2011
MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will present The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged] at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, June 1 and 2. The production will be staged in the James A. Panowski Black Box Theatre in room 105 of the McClintock Building.
Written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield, this 90-minute show offers a fast-paced romp through all 37 of the bard’s works. Only three actors attempt this seemingly impossible feat of sketch comedy. Local cast members are T.J. Anderson, Brian Elliott and Sherry Bollero. The show’s bawdy humor is rated PG-13 and will appeal to those familiar with all, one or none of Shakespeare’s plays. Audience participation is encouraged.
Admission is $5 per person, payable at the door by cash or check only. For more information, call the Forest Roberts Theatre box office at 227-2553 or 227-2082.
