FINLAND KAYAKING CHALLENGE DISCUSSED

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “A Kayaking Challenge Surrounding Finland” at 7 p.m. Monday, June 27, in the Peter White Public Library’s Community Room.
Filmmaker Frida Waara will talk about Suomi Meloo, the world’s longest canoe/kayak relay that takes place in Finland. Waara and her daughter were the only Americans to participate in the 2003 challenge. She will share the story of their adventures.
