NCLL OFFERS ZULU JEWELRY CLASS

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present a class titled “The Art of Jewelry—African ‘Zulu’ Pattern” at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, at Cohodas Hall’s room 404-A.
Mary Ann Theis, certified by the Gemological Institute of America, will teach inexperienced beaders the traditional African “Zulu” pattern by creating a bracelet. Participants should bring scissors and small hand towels, as well as reading glasses, if necessary. This class costs $15 for NCLL members and $20 for non-members. The fee includes the beading kit and use of materials.
