BENSON TALKS ABOUT MONEY AND INFLUENCE

                Jocelyn Benson, a Wayne State University law professor and former Democratic candidate for secretary of state in Michigan, will present “Behind Closed Doors: Secret Money and Secret Influence” at Northern Michigan University. The political science symposium is scheduled from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, in Reynolds Recital Hall in the C.B. Hedgcock Building (new location). It is free and open to the public. According to her Wayne State profile, Benson is a frequent media commentator on election law and administration. She published State Secretaries of State: Guardians of the Democratic Process, the first major book on the role of the secretary of state in enforcing election and campaign finance laws.
