'Lighting Up the Holidays' at NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University will hold its annual “Lighting Up the Holidays” celebration from 4:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the University Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Activities include horse-drawn hayrides, free pictures with Santa Claus and children’s books from 5-7 p.m., a 6 p.m. welcome from NMU President Les Wong and ASNMU President Justin Brugman, a reception in the Peter White Lounge with caroling led by Junior Troop 5030, performances by New Attitudes dancers and cookies and refreshments. The NMU Bookstore will remain open throughout the evening for its annual holiday sale.
