Senior Tax Advice Offered

MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Minimizing the Tax Bite for Seniors” from 7-9 p.m. Monday, Jan. 23, in room 101-B of the Superior Dome.
Patrick Brennan, a registered tax professional with H&R Block, will discuss recent changes in the federal and state tax codes. He will also discuss the basics of income tax issues such as social security, tax-sheltered annuities, IRA required minimum distributions, Roth IRA conversions and capital gains tax.
The class is free for NCLL members and $5 for nonmembers. Register by Jan. 19 by calling Lucille Scotti at 249-3640.
