Free Program on Service Dogs

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—A free educational program on service dogs will be held from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the Peter White Public Library community room. It is co-sponsored by the Northern Center for Lifelong Learning and the Marquette Senior Center.

Susan Shaver will be the presenter, accompanied by her service dog, Tiki, who recently passed his public access tests in Washington, D.C. Attendees will learn how service dogs assist their owners in everyday life, where they can and can’t go, related laws and ADA requirements, proper etiquette when encountering a service dog and which breeds are best suited to assist owners.
