MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s financial aid office will remain open later on Wednesday evenings in February to assist area high school students and their families in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The FAFSA should be filed by March 1 for maximum aid consideration and to ensure that a student’s aid is finalized before fall 2012 tuition is due.

            The NMU financial aid office will hold extended hours from 5-7 p.m. on the following dates: Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. It is located in 2107 C.B. Hedgcock. For more information, contact fao@nmu.eduor 906-227-2327. Families are also invited to schedule an appointment.
