NMU Students Read Plays by Visiting Palestinian Playwright

MARQUETTE, Mich.— Northern Michigan University students in an Arabic theater class will present a concert reading of two youth-oriented plays by Middle Eastern playwright Jackie Lubeck during her visit to campus as part of the NMU International Visiting Scholars Series. The readings are scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday, April 6, in the James A. Panowski Black Box Theatre in the McClintock Building. The public is invited free of charge.
Lubeck is co-director of Theatre Day Productions in Palestine. She specializes in developing plays with and for youth, leading drama workshops and training adults to teach drama.
