NMU Visiting Writer Gives Reading April 12

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—Author Adam Schuitema will read from Freshwater Boys, his collection of short stories that was named a Michigan Notable Book, on Thursday, April 12, at Northern Michigan University. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Brule Room of the University Center. It is free and open to the public.

Schuitema’s stories have appeared in numerous magazines, including Glimmer Train, North American Review, Indiana Review, TriQuarterly, Black Warrior Review and Crazyhorse. He is an assistant professor of English at Kendall College of Art and Design and lives in Grand Rapids. For more information, visit www.AdamShuitema.com
