NCLL Visits Botanical Gardens, Historical Park

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer an educational trip titled “Botanical Gardens and a Touch of Wisconsin Heritage” from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, June 2.
            Participants will meet a bus at 8 a.m. in the Marquette Mall parking lot and travel to the Green Bay Botanical Gardens, a flower and vegetable display garden. The group will visit during the annual Garden Fair, which features more than 100 vendors with plant materials, landscaping ideas, garden art, some live entertainment, garden presentations and food. The group will proceed to the Heritage Hill State Historical Park. Staff in period costumes will explain what life was like in Northeast Wisconsin in years past. Participants should bring snacks, beverages and an additional $12 for food.  

This trip costs $25 for NCLL members and $35 for non-members. Register by Saturday, May 26, by calling 227-2979.
