NCLL Offers Wine Program and Leather Workshop

            MARQUETTE, Mich.—The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a wine tasting and presentation from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, or Thursday, Jan. 24, at Everyday Wines on Baraga Street. Participants will attend one of the two sessions. They will sample six varieties and learn about the history of wine, along with tasting differences related to aroma, opacity and flavor. Cost is $8 for NCLL members and $13 for nonmembers.

            A hands-on leather workshop, during which participants will learn how to make cell phone cases from leather, is scheduled from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, at the Peter White Public Library arts and crafts room. The cost is $10 for NCLL members and $15 for nonmembers.
