NMU Career Center Offers New Web Tools

Monday 21, 2013

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University Career Services has launched a new web-based system called Cat Career Tracks to help students, alumni and employers automate much of the job search process.

It is part of the NMU Career Services website (www.nmu.edu/careers) and can be directly accessed at www.nmu.edu/careerservices/CatCareerTracks.

Powered by CSO Research’s Interfase system, Cat Career Tracks streamlines account registration, resume referrals, employment search document management, placement tracking, job postings and management, interview scheduling, career fair registration, resume books and alumni career assistance.  Participants have 24-hour access to easily search jobs, schedule on-campus interviews, send online inquiries and manage multiple resumes, cover letters and other employment-related documents.  Employers can post jobs on campus, choose to receive online applications directly from the system with current resumes attached and sign up for career fairs held at NMU.

“We are very excited about the new Cat Career Tracks system, as it allows us to enhance the services the NMU Career Center currently offers to our students and alumni, as well as employers.  It helps with services related to full-time employment, internships and student employment, both on and off campus,” said Jim Gadzinski, director of Career Services.
