MARQUETTE, Mich.—Jeff Guilfoyle, president of the Citizens Research Council of Michigan, discussedtrends and opportunities related to the state’s economy and fiscal year 2014 budget proposals at Northern Michigan University on Thursday, March 21, as part of the 2012-13 Presidential Symposium series.

 Guilfoyle began his career at the CRC in 2009, having most recently directed the Office of Revenue and Tax Analysis (ORTA) in the Michigan Department of Treasury As ORTA director, his responsibilities include forecasting and tracking state tax receipts, estimating the impact of legislation on state tax revenues and providing economic research support to the State Treasurer. Guilfoyle previously directed the Economic and Revenue Forecasting Division and served as a tax analyst in the Department of Treasury.
