NMU Public Stations Plan Temporary Shutoff Friday

MARQUETTE— Northern Michigan University’s public television and radio stations will be off the air from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. Power is being shut off while contractors finish installing a stand-by power to the main transmitter site.
This outage affects viewers who watch WNMU-TV using an antenna, satellite TV or cable services other than Charter Communications. It will also affect WNMU-FM listeners who receive the station using conventional FM radios.
WNMU-FM programming will be available on Charter cable channel 20 or via the station’s web service at www.wnmufm.org.
