MARQUETTE, Mich.—Chet DeFonso, head of the Northern Michigan University history department, will deliver a presentation titled “The Triumph of Adam and Steve: The State of Gay Marriage in 2013.” His talk is scheduled at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, in Gries Hall 167. It is free and open to the public.

DeFonso teaches a course on gay history. He will discuss the electoral, legislative and judicial developments related to the legal recognition of same-gender relationships from regional, national and international perspectives.
