'Love and War at Stag Farm' Author Discusses Book

            MARQUETTE, Mich. — The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will hold a discussion of the book, Love and War at Stag Farm, with author Christine Saari of Marquette. The event is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room.  

            Learn how Saari’s family lived, loved and endured personal strife and war on their farm in the foothills of the Austrian Alps during World War II and its aftermath. There was also be a book purchasing and signing opportunity following the talk.

            Register by Monday, Oct. 15, by calling 227-2979. The event is free for NCLL members and $5 for non-members.
