'Amazonian Dark Earths' Talk at NMU

MARQUETTE, Mich. — Northern Michigan University will host a presentation titled “Amazonian Dark Earths and Their Implications for the Conservation and Development of the Region" on Monday, Oct. 14. Antoinette M.G.A. WinklerPrins, director of the environmental studies program at John Hopkins University, will be the featured speaker. The talk begins at 7 p.m. in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building. It is free and open to the public.
