Comedian Coming to NMU

Friday 1, 2013

MARQUETTE, Mich. – Emily Galati will perform stand-up comedy at Northern Michigan University on Thursday, Nov. 7. The event begins at 8 p.m. in 103 Jamrich Hall and is free and open to the public.

Galati is billed as an atypical and intelligent female voice whose lack of cliché content and impeccable timing is rarely seen on stage.

Born and raised in Phoenix, Ariz., Galati now resides in Chicago, where she is a frequent performer at the legendary Zanies Comedy Club and the city’s representative for the “Best of the Midwest” competition at Gilda’s Laughfest. She has been featured on NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity,” “The Bob and Tom Comedy Contest” and toured with comedians Jeffery Ross, Gilbert Gottfried and Dwayne Perkins.

This is an NMU Primetime Productions event.
