The NMU Criminal Justice Department is hosting a free police canine demonstration for the Criminal Justice Association at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13 in the Whitman Hall commons. Media are welcome to cover the event. Two alumni K9 handlers and their partners from the Lansing Police Department will demonstrate various search and detection skills and end with an interactive question-and-answer session. This will be the final presentation culminating three days of demonstration and lectures integrated into various law enforcement and criminal justice classes at NMU.
