NCLL Presents Mine Panel Discussion
MARQUETTE, Mich.— The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will host a panel discussion on environmental impacts related to Eagle Mine operations. It will feature representatives from Eagle Mine, the Community Environmental Monitoring Program (CEMP), Marquette County Community Foundation and Superior Watershed Partnership.
CEMP operates independently from the mine and is implemented by the community foundation and watershed partnership. It was formed to provide an objective, accurate image of Eagle Mine processes and impacts.
The panel discussion is scheduled from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, in room 101-B of the NMU Superior Dome. It is free for NCLL members and $5 for non-members. Pre-register by Tuesday, March 18, by calling 227-2979.
