NMU Biology Seminars Planned
MARQUETTE, Mich. — Northern Michigan University’s biology department will sponsor three upcoming seminars--two delivered by master's degree candidates--as part of its Biology Seminar Series. All presentations will be held in the Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building and all are free and open to the public.
“Characterization of Varying Local Winter Stream Habitat and its Impact upon Coldwater Fishes” will be presented by Jesse Haavisto at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26.
“Plant Community Development of Isle Royale’s Moose Spruce Savannas” will be presented by Michael Rotter at 11 a.m. Friday, March 28.
“Regenerative Biology: A Last Frontier” will be presented by Keith Sabin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 2.
Haavisto and Rotter are master's degree candidates at NMU. Sabin is a graduate student from the University of Minnesota’s cell biology and development department.
