International Food Fest at NMU

            MARQUETTE, Mich. — Northern Michigan University will hold its 24th Annual International Food Festival hosted by the All Nations Club from 4:30-7 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the Jacobetti Complex. Admission for advanced tickets is $7 for students and $10 for the public. All tickets purchased at the door will cost $10. Advanced tickets can be purchased at the International Programs Office in 2101 Hedgcock.

Specialty dishes from all over the globe will be featured at the festival. To start Greek pastrami bourekas, Indian samosas, German hamburger soup and a Japanese cucumber salad will be served. Entrees include a Jamaican acai and salt-fish meal, a Coca-Cola chicken dish, Swedish meatballs and eggplant parmesan from Italy. Dessert will include fried plantains from the Caribbean, a Latin American flan and Egyptian-style basbousa.

The event is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, International Programs Office and the Student Finance Committee.
