MARQUETTE, Mich.- Jacob Menard of Iron Mountain is the recipient of the James D. Parsek Memorial Scholarship at Northern Michigan University for the 2014-2015 academic year.

In order to qualify for the scholarship students must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. Preference is given to applicants from the Upper Peninsula.  

The James Parsek Memorial Scholarship was established in 1992 by Florence Parsek in memory of her son, James D. Parsek, a nursing graduate and former NMU faculty member who passed away.
