NCLL Explores Road Scholar Program

Wednesday 3, 2014

The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning at Northern Michigan University invites community members to learn about educational and travel opportunities afforded through Road Scholar. A program is scheduled from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the Shiras Room in Peter White Public Library. The cost is $3 for NCLL members and $8 for non-members. Register by Wednesday, Sept. 10, by calling 227-2979.

Road Scholar, formerly Elderhostel, is a not-for-profit program that provides adults the ability to travel locally or abroad while actively learning about their surroundings. These educational adventures are facilitated by expert instructors who, according to roadscholar.org, “provide extraordinary access, and stimulate discourse and friendship among people for whom learning is the journey of a lifetime.”

This event is presented by JoLene Klumpp, associate director of NMU Continuing Education and Workforce Development.
