MARQUETTE, Mich.— Narayana Kocherlakota, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, will present ‘You, Monetary Policy and the Economy: The Fed’s Perspective” at Northern Michigan University. His talk will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, in Reynolds Recital Hall in C.B. Hedgcock. It is free and open to the public.

            Kocherlakota took office as 9th District Federal Reserve president in 2009. In 2012, he was named one of the top 100 Global Thinkers by Foreign Policy magazine. He serves on the Federal Open Market Committee and oversees all operations of the Bank of Minneapolis, including supervision, regulation and payments services. Before his appointment as president, Kocherlakota served as a member of the Minneapolis Fed’s research staff and held professorships at the University of Minnesota and Stanford University.
