NMU Reschedules International Education Events

Northern Michigan University has rescheduled two International Education Week presentations that were impacted by inclement weather.

"Reflections on Studying Abroad: A Faculty Perspective" will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in 1320 Jamrich Hall. Professors William Ball of political science, Robert Hanson of criminal justice and Eileen Smit of nursing will provide insights based on their experiences leading student groups on international study trips.

Earth, environmental and geographical sciences professor Weronika Kusek will present "Recent Polish Migration to London, UK" at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 21, in 2320 Jamrich Hall. Since Poland joined the European Union in 2004, nearly 600,000 Poles immigrated to the United Kingdom. Kusek will discuss Polish migrants who live and work in London, immigrant experiences and diasporic networks with Poland.
