'North of the 45th' Exhibit Seeks Entries

Friday 13, 2015

The DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University seeks entries from artists who live north of the 45th parallel in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota for its eighth annual “North of the 45th” juried exhibition. The entry deadline is March 9 and there is a $20 entry fee.

This exhibition showcases the breadth and depth of artists living in rural and urban areas of the upper Midwest. Each year a different juror is asked to select pieces for the exhibition from an open call for entries. Lena Vigna, curator of exhibitions at the Racine Art Museum in Racine, Wis., will serve as this year’s juror. Her top choice will receive a $500 award. The audience favorite will receive $250.

Artists may submit up to five pieces with the entry fee. Submissions will be collected online at devos.slideroom.com. For more information, call 227-2235.
