Grad School for Women Talk at NMU

Women, Leadership, Inquiry, Action (WLIA), a new Northern Michigan University initiative, will present “Conversations about Graduate School” at NMU. The presentation will begin at 5 p.m. Monday, March 23, in room 1322 of Jamrich Hall. The event will feature a panel of NMU faculty: Valerie Hedges, biology; Caroline Krzakowski, English; Helen Li, marketing; and Katie Menard, nursing. The event is free and open to the public. WLIA seeks to empower women to pursue advanced degrees and foster a spirit of mentoring among professional women at NMU and in the Marquette community. This inaugural event of the WLIA is sponsored by the College of Arts and Science, the College of Business, and the College of Health Science and Professional Studies, Center for Native American Studies, the McNair Scholars Program and the Multicultural Education and Resourrce Center.
