Ultra-Runner Krissy Moehl Visits NMU
MARQUETTE, Mich.— Internationally accomplished ultra-runner Krissy Moehl will lead a group fun run and give a motivational presentation during her April 8-9 visit to Northern Michigan University. Both events are free and open to the public.
The group fun run will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Down Wind Sports in Marquette. The one-hour run will be at a conversational pace. Refreshments and door prizes will be available afterward.
Moehl's presentation titled “Run to Live” will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in room 1100 of Jamrich Hall at NMU. She will talk about pushing limits, reaching goals and finding passion to succeed.
Moehl is one of the most accomplished U.S. female ultra-runners. She has dedicated the past 14 years to ultra-marathon racing worldwide and inspiring those around her. Moehl has competed in more than 100 ultra-races, finishing in first place in her division more than 50 times. She also holds multiple course records.
