NMU Student Research, Creativity Highlighted

Northern Michigan University's 20th annual "Celebration of Student Research, Creative Works and Academic Service Learning" will be held on Thursday, April 9. The public is invited. An opening ceremony will be held at 9 a.m. in room 109 of the Learning Resources Center.
Oral presentations will take place every 15 minutes in that room from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Topics range from the media portrayal of women in prison to the identification of basigin in glioblastoma multiforme stem-like cells. Posters, art and demonstrations will be on display from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the main level of Jamrich Hall.
Winners of the best poster and the Technology Innovation Award for Students also will be recognized.
