Northern Michigan University elementary education students will meet to assemble care packages destined for a U.S. Army medical unit in Kuwait. Media are welcome to cover this activity, scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, in 2605 Hedgcock. The packages will include personal hygiene items and candy donated by local merchants, along with cards made by Superior Hills elementary students. 

NMU student Heather Montgomery initiated the effort. She contacted the campus veterans affairs representative about doing something to help the medical unit, as her uncle is the commander.
